Uncovering his identity as a newcomer to
Canada, Afrobeats artist CHXXX releases AFRONADIA—a high-energy, 10-track
album chronicling his journey from Lagos to Toronto, and his pursuit of success.
The music producer and artist presents AFRONADIA as a personal diary of his immigration experience. Known for his signature Afrobeat sound and dynamic performances at global events such as the Northern Touch Music Festival, a soccer halftime show, Miss Teen Africa, and the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, CHXXX now turns his creative lens inward.
AFRONADIA explores the motivations behind immigration and taps into the unifying power of music to connect people of African descent across the diaspora. Infused with traditional Afrobeats rhythms, vibrant percussion, and standout saxophone solos, the album delves into themes of capitalism, relationships, and personal ambition.
Notable collaborators include Cameroonian rapper Stanley Ebai Enow, a 2014 MTV Africa Music Award winner, and acclaimed saxophonist Simon Jefferson. Together, they help bring CHXXX’s vision to life, weaving messages of unity, motivation, and empowerment throughout the project, underscoring his belief in music’s potential to inspire meaningful social change.
